The Concert Series is back! The Beecher Park Summer Concert Series is an annual, music series showcasing talented local artists. You're encouraged to bring a blanket and a picnic and enjoy a diversity of sound and performances with a beautiful West Rock backdrop. This is a family friendly event For 5 Mondays (CONCERT starts at 6:30pm) during the summer. Party on in Beecher Park right next to the Mitchell Library with live music and pie for sale by the slice! Bring a blanket or lawn chair. Cancelled if raining.
The Summer Concert Series + Hi Fi Pie contest. Each week we will host a different genre of music as well as a different pie type and food truck! Pie sale are limited, so please come on time!
To enter the Hi Fi Pie Contest, please drop off two (2) of the same home-baked pie (cooled and ready to slice) by 5:45pm. Pies will be sold by the slice to benefit WVRA and the Beecher Park Summer Series, and voted upon by local food celebrities and the public. Judges will award weekly prizes and a People’s Choice prize will be given in August to the most popular baker over the course of the 4 week fest.

In order to enter, bakers must bake TWO (more or less identical) pies each week, in accordance with the week’s category. Each week, a local guest culinary celebrity judge will award a prize to the winning pie in that week’s category. IN ADDITION, The People’s Choice prize will be awarded at the end of the 5 week Fest to the baker who has accumulated the most votes over the 5 weeks. In this way, it is to your advantage to enter during multiple weeks, so more people can eat and vote for your pie! Lucy Gellman/Arts Paper Lucy Gellman/Arts Paper In order to operate in the safest possible manner, all pies will be sliced by WVRA staff and volunteers. Therefore, pies will need to be delivered COOL, ready for slicing, ahead of the event. We strongly encourage you to bake the pie for Monday on Sunday if at all possible.
