Class limited to 15 participants. This one day TS 101 course includes: classroom lectures, bike handling skills on a closed course, a written test, and a road ride that will allow participants to practice their cycling skills. Topics to cover including proper bike type and selection, starting, stopping, shifting and scanning, learn how to ride in traffic, proper lane and intersection positioning, and crash avoidance techniques.
This course will go rain or shine, and will be offered by the City of New Haven's League of American Bicyclists certified instructors Upon successful completion of the written and skill-testing portions, participants will receive a Certificate. This class meets the prerequisite for taking a League Certified Instructor course.
