Friends of Edgewood Park 2008 Community Picnic

Dozens of members of the Friends of Edgewood Park gathered in the park on July 13 for their third-annual community picnic. We played volleyball, croquet, bocce, frisbee and other sports, and we enjoyed a sing-along in the shade of the park's stately oaks.

 We visited with other FOEP members and neighbors, and made new friends with folks who were in the park for family outings, dog-walking or shopping at the farmer's market.

 And we ate! Folks brought picnic lunches and snacks to share, including chips and dips, summer fruit, salads and other goodies. Funds for the event were provided in part by the Elm City Parks Conservancy. Thank you!
